Most travellers to Vietnam pencil in Hue and Hoi An as definite "must
sees" but then fail to allow themselves enough time in each town. This
is particularly the case with Hoi An, where, while it can feel almost
Disneylandesque at times, people are always running out of time. If you
allowed just a couple of days for Hoi An, be sure to double it.And don't forget Da Nang
It's home to more than just the closest airport to Hoi An! There's also
a terrific Cham Museum, China Beach and an overall rather fun, little
touristed Vietnamese city
ITINERARY
Day1: Danang - Marble Moutains -
Hoian old town (L/D)
Arrival
in Danang. Transfer to restaurant for lunch. Visit to Marble Moutains - named
as 5 elements of universe and stone carving village of Hoa Hai.
Move to the ancient town of Hoian
for a walking tour around the old sections of Hoian (charming and wonderfully
preserved, combining Chinese, Japanese and European influences) and get
yourself back to the 17th century. Relax and soak up the atmosphere. Dinner and
overnight in Hoian.
Day 2: Hoian old town - My Son - Hue (B/L/D)
Breakfast
and check-out. Drive to My Son holly land, the site of the most important Cham
intellectual and religious center during the 4th to 13th century, classified as
the World Heritage Site. Luncheon. Leave My Son for Hue, en route, photo stop at the top of
Cloud-ocean pass and Lang Co fishing village. Dinner and overnight in Hue.
Day 3: Hue city tour (B/L/D)
Breakfast.
Morning visits of the Imperial Citadel - The grand palace of the last dynasty
of Nguyen and Heavenly goddess pagoda. Luncheon. Afternoon visits include the
typical Royal Tombs of Tu Duc and Khai Dinh. Dinner and overnight in Hue.
Day 4: Hue (B/L/D)
Breakfast.
Take a boat trip on Perfume river to visit Hon Chen holy temple and Ming Mang
Mausoleum. Luncheon. Afternoon explore the Phu Mong traditional house and Dong
Ba market. Dinner and overnight in Hue.
Day 5: Hue/Danang - Departure (B)
Breakfast.
Free until transfer to the airport
of Hue or Danang for
departure. End of tour.
